Fiona was born in Cheshire and spent her early childhood in Cyprus and Aden before moving to Edinburgh. Drawing and painting became the most important thing in her life from early on and most of her spare time was spent drawing from imagination or copying people and subjects around her.
She studied Decorative Design at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art, Dundee, followed by a year at Dundee College of Education to enable her to teach Art in Secondary Schools in Scotland the 1970’s. She also gained a City and Guilds qualification to teach adults in further education at Bangor university in 2003.
Having lived and exhibited in various countries in Europe and Scandinavia, she moved to Wiltshire in 2009 and now exhibits locally and teaches and demonstrates watercolours, acrylics and oils.
Her variety of different subjects is strongly influenced by nature and the beautiful British countryside. Her aim is to produce vibrant, uplifting paintings.
