From an early age Rosie was drawing and painting, and aged 10 won a prize in a national drawing competition.
Her passion for art continued throughout her school years and she went on to study history of art at Edinburgh University qualifying with an MA Honours degree in 1993. Throughout her time at university she attended life drawing classes at Edinburgh College of Art and undertook regular commissions as an animal portraitist selling her work around her childhood home in the Cotswolds.
After a short period working at Bonham’s Auctioneers , Rosie went on to have a career in public relations working at a number of London agencies including Weber Shandwick Worldwide. She continued to practice during this time and completed a number of commissions.
In 2002 she gave up her career to raise her family and returned to painting and drawing studying part-time at Heatherley School of Fine Art, Chelsea. In 2012 Rosie gained a diploma in painting at Putney School of Art and Design and since then has exhibited regularly in London (at the Mall Galleries) and in Hampshire.
