Millie McCallum studied at Chelsea School of Art and Design before completing a BA hons in Fine Art at the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne, graduating in 2006.
She is now based in London where she works from her studio in Wimbledon in a number of disciplines from printing and watercolour to 3d, with plants and wildlife a characteristic subject of most of her work. This exhibition focuses on her new linocuts. Linocuts are individually hand made so not two will be exactly the same although they are known as prints as it is the same linocut used for the whole edition. Millie is fascinated by the strangeness of taxidermy she always takes initial drawings and photographs from museum specimens.
She has been involved in drawing and watercolour shows at the Royal College of Art, The Royal Academy, The Affordable Art Fair in London, New York, Bristol and Amsterdam and has completed commissions for murals, album covers, fabric and wallpaper.
