Throwback in December, when I was happily placing paintings in a cosy elegant London flat. One of the key elements of my business is bringing art to peoples homes. Gauging their taste & working with them to source the right artworks to suit the interior, is such an important part of my job! I also advise people to live with new artworks before committing, so they can see how things look during day & evening light.

You can be a complete beginner or experienced - this challenge is all about getting creative whilst most of us are at home! To show support to our local hospitals and NHS her

To show support to our local hospitals and NHS heroes, and whilst we are in lockdown looking for ways to keep our minds focused and healthy, why not take part in our painting challenge with profits being donated towards the Hampshire Medical Fund @hampshiremedicalfund

Our aim is to help the HMF buy as many IQoro devices as possible, an essential neuromuscular device used on people that find it difficult to swallow, particularly after suffering a stroke. Each device costs £116 so the more money we raise, the more IQoros the fund can buy. 🌟

THE CHALLENGE

• Create one painting by 7 February of either a still life or landscape in any medium or size
• Submit your masterpieces by posting your picture on your Instagram page and tagging @nadiawaterfieldfineart @hampshiremedicalfund and using the hashtag #nwpaintingchallenge
• If you would prefer to remain anonymous, please DM us
•Anyone can take part, but we would be very grateful if you could make a charitable donation towards @hampshiremedicalfund so that we can help them buy as many Iqoro devices as possible (link in bio) and here: https://bit.ly/3hUntjD
• Your paintings will be judged by a panel of my wonderful artists. 1st prize £350, 2nd £200 and 3rd £100 🌟

A very happy new year to everyone. I hope that 2021 can soon bring light to the end of this long tunnel.

I am so grateful for my love of art & having the opportunity of owning two beautiful galleries. With so much talent out there, it is a complete joy to see the journey of a painting leaving a studio to finding It’s place in a beautiful home.

Meeting a variety of artists & all sorts of interesting people along the way is just another wonderful bonus to my job!

Sometimes just sometimes paintings need a little tweak. In this case the lovely Rupert Aker is using my oil paints to make those changes in the gallery rather than taking the painting all the way back to his studio.

Rupert is one of the galleries most popular artists, having sold over 15 paintings which include commissions this Autumn. His work has a lovely perspective, they are always sunny, uplifting & it’s like looking out of a window onto a beautiful landscape.
