DRAWING & PAINTING THE LANDSCAPE OUTDOORS

Looking at the work of well known Gallery artist Nick Schlee, and other landscape painters currently exhibiting at the gallery, we will discuss different styles and mediums before venturing into the beautiful countryside surrounding the gallery, where children will draw loose sketches in charcoal, before we head back to the gallery to work these drawings into paintings. Children will look at perspective, shapes and the contours of the landscape, colour mixing, techniques and different styles that can be created.   This workshop is all about loosening up and getting rid of any inhibitions that painting can sometimes bring, and encourage children to paint with confidence and joy. All materials included, please bring old clothes or overalls.  Drinks and biscuits will be provided.
