David Gee
Having trained at Camberwell School or Art and Design in its ‘Golden Age’ for ceramics in the 1970s, David Gee also studied printmaking, then combining the two disciplines to create photo-litho transfers which he applied to decorate his ceramic works. Patterns and movement from the natural world – waves, rock formations, skins, tree bark – as well as architectural motifs were a strong influence denoting continuity. He died in January 2021.
