Elizabeth Rose is a multi-disciplinary artist whose practice encompasses interior design, fine art and bespoke pieces for the home.
Atelier Elizabeth Rose provides thoughtfully composed interiors that mix natural materials with a dash of the more decorative. Heirloom or antique pieces sit harmoniously aside more playful modern items and finishes. Elizabeth’s creative aesthetic is informed by a love of French art and culture and an innate appreciation for colour and composition.
French art and culture, and classic French interiors exude a refined elegance, which is perfectly humbled by bringing aspects of nature into the home. It is these characteristics of French design that serve to inspire Atelier Elizabeth Rose. Working with highly skilled craftspeople for many years Atelier Elizabeth Rose brings a distinctively creative approach to design. With her fine art background imbuing every facet of her work, space, colour and composition are paramount.
Elizabeth delights in working closely with her clients seeing the collaboration between designer and client imperative to a home of timelessness, elegance and harmony. Elizabeth has always sketched and painted and has taken her creativity beyond the canvas to her landscape lampshades, hand painted trays and embroidered cushions with many more pieces in the pipeline.
Her enthusiasm and passion for art and design also extends to lecturing students at design colleges The Inchbald, KLC, Chelsea College of Art and Design and the Interior Design School. Elizabeth also trains other interior designers in Esti and has contributed to the development of this interior design business software.
Elizabeth has a degree in fine art from City and Guilds of London Art School and a distinction certificate in Interior Design and Decoration from the Inchbald School of Design where she now also lectures. A number of her oil paintings are held in the Royal Collection.
